Cox Communications is partnering with local broadcasters in its Baton Rouge service area to offer temporary out of home TV access to customers displaced or impacted by the recent floods via the Cox Contour App. With the app, customers will be able to view live, local broadcast feeds until 16 September, namely ABC (WBRZ), NBC (WVLA), CBS (WAFB), Fox (WGMB) and CW (WBRL). The live streams can be watched on any device with an internet source.

The access will be in addition to the up to 50 cable networks Cox customers can get via the app, including HGTV, Weather Channel, Travel and MTV.

The Contour App also includes cable channels with an option for out of home viewing, based on a customer’s level of TV service. Channels with out of home viewing include: HGTV, Food, Epix, DIY, Comedy Central, CMT, Cooking, Travel, TV Land, Weather, Nick, Nick Jr, teenNick, Spike, CSPAN, CSPAN 2, CSPAN 3, MTV, VH1, BET, BET Jams, beIn Sports, beIN sports in Espanol, indiePlex, retroPlex, Logo, MTV Hits, MTV Live, MTVU, Tennis Channel, plus all Starz channels. Customers can also use WatchESPN, Fox Sports Go, NBC Live, and other apps to watch live content out of home, using their Cox log-ins credentials. TV apps from networks like ESPN, CNN, TNT and FX are also available to view outside the home, based on the level of a Cox customer’s TV subscription.
