VoD+The paid-for on demand service VoD+ will shortly close due to strong competition in the Polish market.
However, quoted by Wirtualne Media, Aleksander Kutela, CEO Onet, said that there are absolutely no plans to close Onet’s main on demand service VoD.pl.
Furthermore, Onet will continue to operate and develop other paid-for on demand services, in particular with its partners. VoD+ offers viewers over 590 films and series. It costs PLN19.90 (€4.63) a month to receive, with the first month free of charge.
As of earlier this year, Onet has placed increased emphasis on producing its own content.
