Lagardère Interactive is looking for a buyer for its kids channel Gulli, a free-to-air channel in France.
According to French news reports, the channel makes an annual profit of EUR10 million and could fetch between EUR150 – 200 million. There should be no shortage of potential buyers, including Lagardère Interactive, Canal+ and Mediawan.
The channel launched in 2005 as a free-to-air channel one the country’s DTT network called TNT. At the time, it was a joint venture of public broadcaster France Télévisions and Lagardère, who took full control in December 2013.
In a related development, Lagardère Interactive is also looking to sell its print magazine business including Elle and France’s best selling TV guide Tele 7 Jours to Czech Media Invest of Czech billionaire Daniel K?etínský.
