Kasautii Zindagii Kay set for September return on Star Plus

One of Star Plus’ most popular shows, Ekta Kapoor’s romantic saga Kasautii Zindagii Kay is returning to the Indian TV channel in September, after a gap of more than a decade.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 8 August 2018The reboot of India’s third longest running TV series features an all-new cast and fresh stories. Erica Fernandes (Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi) and Parth Samthaan take the lead roles, playing Prerna Basu and Anurag, respectively, while Bigg Boss Season 11 finalist Hina Khan will play the character Komolika.

The original epic love story, which made its debut 17 years ago, starred Shweta Tiwari, Cezzane Khan (later replaced by Hiten Tejwani), and Ronit Roy in lead roles.

“This show is very close to my heart as it has given me everything that I am today,” Cezzane Khan told IANS news agency. “I am super excited for the reboot of the show. It’s refreshing and feels wonderful.”

Produced by Balaji Telefilms, the reboot of Kasauti Zingadi Kay will air on weekdays at 8pm from 10 September. It will replace the Star Plus political satire Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai, and be followed at 11pm by the recently launched show Nazar.
