SPI International is making its Ultra HD channel FunBox 4K/UHD, along with over 12 thematic channels, available in North and South America.
Its channels will shortly launch in the Caribbean with two operators in Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti.
It has also secured the formal approval of the Brazilian regulator Ancine to launch nine FilmBox channels in the country.
Commenting on the expansion, Gustavo Monaco, who handles distribution in Latin America and the Caribbean for SPI International, said: “We are currently in talks with more than o dozen platforms in South America that are interested in adding our channels to their premium line-up”.
Aside from FunBox 4K/UHD, SPI International operates the channels FilmBox Arthouse (arthouse/independent films), FightBox (martial arts/live MMA events), DocuBox (documentaries), FashionBox (fashion/shopping), Fast&FunBox (adrenaline sports/adventure), 360TuneBox (independent music/art of video), MadscreenBox (interactive/gaming), Kino Polska International (ethnic/Polish cinema), Kino Polska Muzyka (ethnic/Polish music) and FilmBox Russia (ethnic/Russian movies). Some of these channels have already by carried by IPTV platforms in the US, including Boost, TMO, Sprint and US Cellular.
SPI International also includes the adult channels Erox and Eroxxx in its portfolio.
