Sony SAB to reunite Aladdin with his lamp

Sony SAB is set to introduce its latest entertainment series Aladdin: Namm Toh Suna Hoga to its audience in India and internationally on 21 August.

The TV show, produced by Nissar Parvez and Alind Shrivastava of Peninsula Pictures, will retell the popular story about a lovable young rouge from Baghdad and his princess, along with his magical lamp.

Siddharth Nigam will play Aladdin, while Smita Bansal plays his loving Ammi. Avneet Kaur stars as the feisty Princess Yasmine, and Girish Sachdev plays the role of Aladdin’s father.

“This show will bring to life Aladdin’s age-old yet always refreshing tale, dotted with characters that we have been familiar with during our growing-up years. Aimed at setting new standards of television programming, the show will entertain viewers with its grand sets, storytelling with a contemporary twist and superior production quality. Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) India said Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga will air on its Sony SAB channel every weekday evening at 9pm from 21 August.
