DIRECTV scores exclusive LATAM UEFA international football rights

Showing the popularity of European football in the region, the Latin American arm of DIRECTV has reached an agreement with governing body UEFA for the exclusive broadcasting rights for its leading national team competitions.

euro 2020 6 sept 2018The deal covers Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela and competitions covered under the agreement will include the European qualifiers for EURO 2020, European qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the inaugural season of the UEFA Nations League in 2018/19 as well as the 2020/21 season, including the UEFA Nations League Finals 2019 and 2021.

DIRECTV customers in these markets will also have access to other international matches, which will be announced at a later date.

The coverage will be available on the DIRECTV Sports and DIRECTV Sports HD channels on DIRECTV´s platforms, including its direct-to-home satellite subscription services and its digital platforms, DIRECTVSports.com, the DIRECTV Sports App and DIRECTV Play, allowing viewers to watch matches on TV screens, computers, smartphones and tablets.
